Vegan Chocolate Waffels



It's nice to make a nice extra special breakfast during the weekend. ⁠

What better than to start your day with chocolate waffels. This time I choose the VEGAN option. ⁠

Hereby we replace the egg 👉🏻 sparkling water

⁠⁠

Let me know when these are on the menu with you for breakfast 😀

Ingredients (8 waffels)⁠

🍫 200gr spelled flour⁠

(I sometimes also choose 150gr spelt flour & 50gr protein powder OR 100gr spelt flour & 100gr oat flour)⁠

🍫 100gr cocoa powder⁠

🍫 50ml peanut oil or olive oil

🍫 250ml almond milk (or other vegetable milk)⁠

🍫 125ml sparkling water⁠

🍫 2 tsp baking powder⁠

🍫 pinch of salt⁠

🍫 TOPPINGS: 2 tbsp skyr/ low-fat cottage cheese, blueberries, banana, 1 tsp peanut butter, goji berries - Or whatever you like!⁠



HOW TO?⁠

1. Mix the flour, cocoa powder & baking powder together. Add a pinch of salt.

2. Add the wet ingredients (milk, oil, sparkling water) & make sure everything is mixed well⁠.


3. Warm up your waffle iron and use some peanut oil or olive oil to grease (smear with kitchen paper over the entire irons).⁠

4. Put some of the mixture in the waffle iron and let the waffles brown for 6'. ⁠

5. Finish with toppings of your choice.⁠
